Padi MAS is an android mobile game that falls under Construction and Management Simulations (CMS). Such a genre requires a game to have four technical features. The first feature is to challenge the player with economics, concerned with growth. Padi MAS challenges players to learn to manage and grow the paddy field in two ways: amateur and professional. By amateur means, the player needs to manage and grow the paddy field by themselves, and professionally, they seek help from MADA. The second feature requires the game to have construction activity as an essential element. Padi MAS requires the player to manage the paddy field in detail to construct income from reaping the paddy. The game also fosters the construction of correct zakat distribution practices through LZNK. The third feature is pattern recognition and exploration challenges. The game challenges the player's exploration while managing the paddy field from the beginning to the end of the season. For example, the player must explore the game to obtain the correct items to fertilize the paddy field.
Another example is exploring one location to another to prepare the paddy seeds for planting. The player must also experience exploration and travel from home to MADA to learn the proper method to grow the paddy field. From the zakat perspective, the game requires the player to travel to LZNK to learn the correct way to calculate zakat. There is a scene in the game in Season 3 where the player has to experience the culture of catching fish in the paddy field as part of the paddy planting culture. The fish-catching process needs the player to explore the paddy field to catch the fish. Lastly, the CMS genre avoids physical challenges, as well as conflict challenges. Padi MAS does just that. The game does not contain conflicts that require the player to exert physical effort to enjoy the game. The priority of the game is to inculcate the culture of growing paddy and the correct method of Zakat payment in Kedah. Therefore, Padi MAS simulates these two essences in its game world without involving physical challenges through conflict.
